My Custard Pudding
Hi pals! Welcome back to yet another blog by me...
What is more salivating than a pint of ice cream in these hot summer days. But setting the perfect ice cream is a mammoth's task if you do not have an ice cream machine. You would say 'Why? We can buy it!'
Well, nothing acquires the same taste as love and the fact that you've cooked for yourself. So here's an easy recipe for an English custard / pudding.
Ingredients
1. Milk-full cream (1 L)
2. Custard powder (3 tbsp)
3. Vanilla essence (1 tbsp)
4. Chopped dry nuts
Method
1. Pour the milk into a deep non-stick vessel and bring to a boil. Before almost done, siphon off a ladle full of milk.
2. Keep stirring the milk continuously to keep it from sticking to the bottom and sides. Lower heat if needed.
3. In the siphoned milk, add the custard powder and the vanilla essence and mix thorough until no lumps are left.
4. After about 5-8 minutes the milk should have reduced to half it's original volume. Lower heat to minimum and add the other mixture of the custard powder. Stir continuously until the milk starts to thicken.
5. Take vessel off heat and let it cool. On cooling it should've developed a yellowish hue. Add the nuts and refrigerate in moulds or in serving cups.
6. Serve chilled.
That's all. Easy recipe involving only half an hour of your day to replenish you with a daytime of luxury( only if you try this recipe😊 )
